Built for the people South African businesses depend on most.

“I built this because I kept watching good managers fail their teams — not because they didn't care, but because they had no real data to work with. They'd ask how things were going. Their team would say fine. Three months later, their best people were gone. Or worse — still there, but checked out, fatigued, and one bad shift away from an incident.”

— The team behind Alignn

Our Story

Most people intelligence platforms are built for office workers in London or San Francisco. They assume stable internet, English as a first language, a desk, and an HR department with time to interpret dashboards. That is not the reality for a depot manager running 25 drivers across two corridors before sunrise.

Alignn is built from the ground up for the South African operational environment. Blue-collar workers. Shift patterns. Limited data. Managers who are also drivers, supervisors, and sometimes SHEQ officers rolled into one. The platform works on a R1,500 Android handset on 3G. The reports read like a consultant wrote them because the managers reading them do not have time to interpret raw data.

The logistics vertical is where we started because it is where the stakes are highest. A fatigued driver who says everything is fine because the culture punishes honesty is not just a retention risk. They are a liability on the road.

Anonymity is structural, not policy

We do not ask employees to trust a privacy policy. We make re-identification architecturally impossible. Minimum cohort sizes, encrypted open-text, and API-level reporter protection mean honesty is safe by design.

Reports that tell you what to do, not just what happened

Every AI-generated report ends with a specific recommendation a manager can act on this week. Not a trend line. Not a score. A sentence that says: here is what is happening, here is why, here is what to do about it.

Built for blue-collar workers, not boardrooms

Two minutes a week on a phone. No login friction, no long forms, no English-only UI assumptions. If a driver cannot complete their pulse check in the cab before a shift, the product has failed.

Personyx Framework

The Personyx framework was developed and refined over two decades of working with South African teams in logistics, transport, and blue-collar environments. It is built on Jungian four-colour theory — the same science that underlies internationally validated instruments — adapted specifically for the communication styles, work contexts, and cultural dynamics of the SA workforce.

Unlike global personality tools that produce a report and stop there, Personyx drives every other feature in Alignn. The flight risk model uses Personyx type to adjust risk scores. Every AI report uses the manager's and team's colour profiles to frame recommendations. The twelve named combination profiles give managers a specific, actionable lens for every conversation.

Blue

Blues disengage silently. Scores drop without visible behaviour change — act before the signals become obvious.

Red

Reds signal loudly. Friction and complaints precede the score drop — address the specific complaint directly.

Yellow

Yellows withdraw socially. Energy drop is visible before scores fall — reconnect them to the team first.

Green

Greens endure longest. By the time scores fall, the decision is often already made — catch them early.

Built for South Africa

R

POPIA, OHS Act, and BBBEE-aware from day one

Compliance is not a retrofit. The anonymity architecture, safety report retention rules, and audit trail exist because South African law requires them — and because they make the product worth trusting.

Priced in rand. Supported locally.

30 to 60% cheaper than Culture Amp or Leapsome at equivalent feature depth. No currency risk, no offshore support gap, no pricing model designed for a market ten times larger than ours.

Designed for the handset your drivers actually have

The employee app works on any Android or iOS device from the last five years, including low-cost handsets. It runs on 3G. It works offline. Two minutes a week is all it asks.

How We Work

Honest data

We tell you what the data says, not what you want to hear. If your team is struggling, the platform will surface it. We do not soften scores, hide trends, or filter insights to make the dashboard look better.

Privacy by design

Anonymity is hardcoded, not a setting. Your employees’ trust is the product. The moment they believe management can identify them, they stop being honest — and the data becomes worthless. We protect the anonymity because without it nothing else works.

Actionable, not academic

Insights that tell you what to do this week. Every report ends with a specific recommendation. Every flight risk flag comes with a Personyx-specific talking point. The platform exists to change what happens on Monday morning, not to produce charts for quarterly reviews.

Roadmap

Alignn launched in the logistics vertical because that is where the human risk is most visible and most consequential. A fleet operator who cannot see fatigue, disengagement, and safety culture in one place is flying blind on some of the most dangerous roads in the world.

The platform is built on a shared core that never forks. Every feature built for logistics — shift checks, the Fleet Human Risk Report, Personyx-adjusted safety risk — sits on the same foundation that will serve warehouse, mining, and sales verticals. Adding a new vertical is a content and configuration task, not an engineering rebuild.

If you are in logistics, we are ready for you now. If you are in warehouse, mining, or another blue-collar environment, get in touch — we want to understand your context before we build for it.
